Junior Golf Programs

Our Director of Instruction, Aaron Jacobson, and Teaching Instructor, Luke Benoit, will ensure a summer of fun and learning about the game of golf.  They have worked with some of the best junior players in the area.  No matter what the skill level, your child will be engaged and learning how to improve their golf game or just have more fun.  If you have questions, feel free to contact us at 763-494-8852. 

All of our junior programs are designed to help young golfers understand the game of golf and have fun in the process.  During class, our instructors will teach swing fundamentals, short game, rules, etiquette and safety.  Our goal is to help each junior enjoy the game of golf and reach their golfing potential.

WEEK LONG CAMPS
The week long camps are for juniors who are ages 5-15 and looking to get involved with golf as beginners or intermediate players.  These camps will help junior golfers improve on full swing fundamentals, putting, chipping, etiquette and rules.  This program is intended to be a fun learning environment for junior golfers to improve in all areas of the game.  Class size is maximum 15 with 2 PGA instructors (if the class is full).  Cost is $99.

SPRING / SUMMER CLASSES (No League Play)
These classes are for players of all ages and abilities.  Please choose a program based on age range and kids will be grouped according to skill.  These sessions are strictly instructional and do not include any league play on The Mac Nine par three course.

LIL' WHIPPERS (Age 3-5)

Lil' Whippers is the first class in the Rush Creek Junior Golf Program series and is made up of three 45 minute classes.  It is designed for youngsters with little or no golf experience.  What makes Lil' Whippers unique is parent involvement.  Parents (or another responsible adult) MUST attend each class with their child.  Parents are expected to stay with their child to help with safety and organization.  However, this also gives each parent the chance to learn how to teach their child.  Class content will include very basic skills such as putting and driving.  We will also include some coordination exercises like jumping and running.  Cost is $35.

TROOPERS (Age 5-7)

The Troopers class is the second class in the Rush Creek Junior Program series and is made up of five 55 minute classes.  It is designed for young children with or without previous golf experience.  Basic rules and etiquette will be introduced with special attention given to safety and following directions.  Golf skills learned include putting, driving and short game.  They will also learn how to play on teams and share.  Cost is $75.

BOGEY (Age 6-8)

The Bogey class is made up of five 55 minute classes and includes similar content to the Troopers class.  However, more importance will be devoted to etiquette and fairness and more detailed instruction will be given.  Bogey classes will also learn how to pitch and hit sand shots, along with putting, driving, and chipping.  The proper grip will be reinforced along with learning the idea of par.  Cost is $75.

PAR (Age 8-10)

The Par class is made up of five 55 minute classes and will expand upon what was learned in the Bogey classes.  It begins with an explanation of the word "par" and the idea of "personal par".  Full swing, short game and putting will also be taught.  Golfers will be challenged to think of ways that they can set a "personal par" outside of golf.  Cost is $75.

BIRDIE (Age 10-14)

The Birdie class is made up of five 55 minute classes which will continue to review material from the previous levels.  Along with this, Birdie students will learn about goal setting and pre-shot routine.  They will also be introduced to video analysis and course strategy.  Cost is $75.

SUMMER LESSON LEAGUES
These classes are for players of all ages and abilities.  Please choose a program based on age range and kids will be grouped according to skill.  These sessions include one day per week of instruction and one day per week of league play on The Mac Nine par three course.

BIRDIE (Age 10-14)

FUTURE PROS (Age 9-13)
The Future Pros class is for more experienced golfers at this age level looking to play competitive golf.  An instructor recommendation is suggested for entry into this class.  Instruction will include basic golf skills as well and games and activities to mold exceptional athletic golfers capable of excelling at the high school level and beyond.  This class includes two days per week of instruction and one day of league play.  Monday & Wednesday classes will be instructional.  Friday classes will consist of league play at The Mac Nine par three course.  Cost is $210.

EAGLE LEAGUE (Age 12-16)
Eagle League students will learn about how to practice smart, prepare for competition and manage time effectively.  Increasing amounts of individual attention will be provided to Eagle League students as well.  An emphasis will be placed on SMART goal setting.  Wednesday or Thursday classes will be instructional.  Monday classes will consist of league play at The Mac Nine par three course starting at 8:00am.  Along with the dates listed below, 9 hole rounds will be played on the championship course at 5:30pm on June 26 & July 10 for the 1st session and at 5:30pm on July 31 & Aug 14 for the 2nd session.  Cost is $200.

PLAYERS LEAGUE (Age 13-18)
The Players League is the most advanced class offered.  The goal is to prepare for competitive high school or college golf.  TPI fitness, mental game, swing mechanics, shot shaping, course management, goal setting and practicing smart will be addressed.  Statistics will be kept to spot weaknesses and evaluate improvements.  Tournament winners will receive small prizes.  Thursday classes will be instructional.  Monday or Tuesday classes will consist of 18 holes of league play at The Mac Nine par three course starting at 8:00am.  Along with the dates listed below, 18 hole rounds will be played on the championship course at 7:00am on June 25 & July 2 for the 1st session and at 7:00am on July 23 & Aug 13 for the 2nd session.  Cost is $250.
